Welcome to

West Horsley Wheel of Care

West Horsley Wheel of Care (known affectionately by many as "the Wheel") is here to help any person residing in the parish of West Horsley who is in need of assistance and offers help, support, transport and activities which provide exercise, companionship and friendship.

W
hether you are new to the area or have lived here all your life, young or old, in need of regular assistance or occasional friendship, the Wheel aims to provide the help that people of West Horsley need.  We all require a little help or companionship from time to time.  Whether this is due to a temporary indisposition or advancing age is immaterial; we are here to help everyone in need whenever we can.

Although not able to implement an emergency service or replace carers, the Wheel’s small army of local volunteers will collect prescriptions, do small DIY jobs, give lifts to the shops, surgery or hospital, read or fill in forms and come and have a chat with someone to give a carer a short break.

For further information, either about how we can help you or how to volunteer for the Wheel, please call the Duty Officer, who will be happy to help, on:

(10am - 12 noon, Monday - Friday)

Don't forget about our three regular and friendly Clubs too - weekly Scrabble and Movement to Music (keep fit) clubs, a weekly Seated Dance class and a monthly Film Club.  Please call the Duty Officer for further information and/or if you require assistance with transport to any of the clubs.  Please note that you do not have to live in West Horsley to come - those living in neighbouring villages may also attend the clubs.  Refreshments are served at all four clubs and you are ensured a warm welcome!

The Wheelhouse in East Lane is the "hub" for our activities and is where our 3 clubs take place.

**STOP PRESS**
Our new SEATED DANCE CLASS started on Wednesday, 21st March at West Horsley Village Hall and will take place every Wednesday at 10.30am (tea, coffee and biscuits available from 10am).  For further details, please click on "News & Events".
