VOLUNTEERS' TEA PARTY - Thursday, 27th July 2017

A Tea Party to say thank you to all our wonderful volunteers was held and, although we had to dodge a few showers, it was a lovely afternoon.  We are so grateful to all our volunteers for the amazing help and support they give the Wheel of Care - without them, we wouldn't be able to keep going so this was just a little something to say a BIG thank you!

The Wheel of Care was 10 years old in July 2010 so a special Anniversary Lunch was held on Friday, 14th May 2010 at The Barn, Guileshill Lane to celebrate.

The lunch was much enjoyed by more than a hundred guests; members old and new, clients and "friends" of the Wheel with entertainment from The Surrey Fringe Barbershop Chorus (  An article about the Anniversary Lunch, written by Anthea Wright, the Wheel of Care's first Secretary, appeared in the July edition of the West Horsley Parish Magazine and an article and photograph was published in The Surrey Advertiser on 4th June.  Another article, written by Julie Jarman (also a volunteer), appeared in the Autumn 2010 edition (page 48) of "Around & About Horsley", the magazine published by the Horsley Countryside Preservation Society.
